Karl Schwantes of xennox diamonds

After transitioning from the Australian Army, Karl Schwantes took on a new and different challenge, transforming his family’s forty-four-year-old business, Xennox Diamonds, from analogue to digital, and embracing the potential of the Experience Age.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY BUSINESS IS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE, WHETHER I’M SERVING A CLIENT WHO IS LOOKING TO GET ENGAGED OR MARRIED WITH AN ENGAGEMENT RING… IT’S THAT CONCEPT OF SERVING THAT I’VE REALLY TAKEN FROM THE MILITARY AND CARRIED THROUGH TO MY NEW CIVILIAN CAREER.

An award-winning jewellery designer, Karl understands that his clients feel more fulfilled by their purchases when a memorable experience is attached to it. To achieve this, Karl utilises technological innovations, including augmented reality screens for clients to see jewellery on without wearing it, and a design pod for an Oculus Rift style experience.

MY PARENTS …USED TO TELL ME THAT IF YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO, YOU WILL NEVER WORK ANOTHER DAY IN YOUR LIFE.

To date, Karl has helped 5,000 couples find or create their ultimate engagement ring from his showroom in Queens St, Brisbane. But he hasn’t stopped there.

During the height of COVID, Karl developed and launched a second venture – Five Star Google Reviews Australia. Five Star Reviews is a short coaching program designed to help small business owners leverage their existing client testimonials to drive sales and leads through digital marketing.
